MINOT, ND – Another dominant performance by the #11 University of Mary wrestling team (7-6, 5-3 NSIC) in the "Battle for the Barrel" sees the Marauders defeat Minot State University (7-7, 2-5 NSIC) 40-9.
UMary improves to 8-0 in the Battle for the Barrel, winning the last three by a combined score of 123-16. The Marauders won eight matches on the night, winning four by pinfall and two by tech fall.
Kaden Renner got the dual started at 157 pounds, defeating Ryan Hrcka by an 18-3 tech fall.
Leo Mushinsky followed at 165 pounds and earned a 5-2 decision victory over Brendan Barnes.
Wyatt Lidberg grinded out a tough 4-1 decision victory over Gavin Turk at 174 pounds.
Dante Roggio got the Marauders their first pinfall of the dual, pinning Marcus Allen at the 6:01 mark.
The Beavers earned a tech fall victory at 197 pounds and a major decision win at heavyweight.
Mason Gutenberger (125 lbs) got the Marauders back on track after he pinned Dylan McDonald in 55 seconds.

Reece Barnhardt got a pinfall victory of his own at 133 pounds after he pinned Wayne Joint in 3:43 of action. #6
Sean Solis was electric at 141 pounds, earning a 19-4 techfall over Adrian Chavez.
