MOORHEAD, MN - Joe Mushinsky and Maverick Mueller took gold at the Dragon Open for the University of Mary wrestling team. The Marauders had ten wrestlers place in the top six in their respective weight classes.

Maverick Mueller won the 157-pound weight class in the red division. Mueller started his day with a 15-3 major decision over Patrick Kubisa (St Cloud State University). The freshman from Waconia, MN, then won his semifinal matchup by a 9-6 decision over Jacob Thomas (Minnesota State Moorhead). Mueller capped off his tournament by defeating Lincoln Fink (Sioux Falls) in the finals by a 6-1 decision.

Joe Mushinsky grabbed the 174-pound title in the red division. Mushinsky opened with a pinfall victory over Brody Duke (Concordia-Moorhead) at the 5:45 mark. He then earned his second pin on the day when he took down Jacob Fistler (South Dakota State-Unattached) after 5:47 of action. TThe Peoria, IL, native claimed first place after defeating teammate Connor Manske by a 4-3 decision.
