BILLINGS, MT – The 2025-26 season begins for the University of Mary women's basketball team as the Marauders travel to Billings, MT, to take part in the D2CCA Tipoff Classic at the Trailhead this weekend.

UMary opens against hosts Montana State University Billings on Friday, November 7, at 8:30 pm. The Marauders challenge #20 University of Texas at Tyler on Saturday, November 8, at 8:30 pm. UMary wraps up the event on Sunday, November 9, at 4:30 pm against Colorado State University Pueblo.

KINNEBREW NAMED PLAYER TO WATCH
After being named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference First Team last season, Bergan Kinnebrew was announced as the UMary women's basketball Player to Watch for the 2025-26 season.

Last year, Kinnebrew led the team in scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game. The Bismarck, ND, native shot 38.8% from the field, 35.2% from three, and 84.4% from the free-throw line. The junior ranked 9^th in the conference in scoring, 2^nd in free throw percentage, 16^th in three pointers made per game, and 23^rd in steals per game.

MARAUDERS PROJECTED TO FINISH 6^TH IN THE NSIC
The NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll projected the Marauders to finish 6th in the conference this season and 2^nd in the NSIC North. Last season, UMary finished tied for fifth in the NSIC during the regular season and was knocked out in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.

COACHING STAFF
Rick Neumann enters his 14^th season as the head coach of the UMary women's basketball program. Last season, Neumann passed Fred Fridley for second all-time in program wins last season. Neumann is closing in on 200 wins for his career at UMary, amassing 199 wins during his tenure.

Haley Froelich enters her second season as the Marauders assistant coach. Froelich served as the assistant coach at Clarke University for the 2023-24 season, where the Pride went 29-3 and made it to the second round of the NAIA tournament.

WELCOME BACK
UMary returns three starters from last year's lineup as G Bergan Kinnebrew, G Chloe Pfau, and G Eden Fridley look to see increased roles this season.

Notable key bench returners from last season include F Allison Undlin, G Anna Lenzen, F Cassie Erickson, G Emily Jaenke, and G Brenna Dick.

NEWCOMERS
The Marauders add five freshmen to the roster for the 2025-26 season. G Mashae Miller, Chloe Netzinger, F Senna Mooijekind, G Chloe Nuss, C Tory Jennissen and G Grace Richardson will all look to make an immediate impact in their freshman campaigns.
