BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary volleyball team was defeated at home in three sets (25-11, 25-13, 25-18) by #11 St. Cloud State University.
UMary (6-17, 3-12 Northern Sun) recorded 22 kills on a -.010 hitting percentage, while SCSU (18-5, 13-2 NSIC) posted 43 kills on a .309 attack percentage. The Marauders had 22 assists and three blocks, while the Huskies had 40 assists and nine blocks.
SCSU jumped out to a 12-3 lead to open the first set and cruised to a 25-11 win. The second set would follow a similar path as the Huskies grabbed an early advantage on route to a 25-13 victory.
The Marauders had more success in the third set, grabbing a 9-6 lead. SCSU responded with a 6-0 run and went on to claim the set and the match 25-19.
Judith Burke recorded her 270
th kill on the season, the most any Marauder has had since 2017.

Dani Highum led the team with six kills and five digs.
Maddy Freed dished out ten assists and had five digs.
Judith Burke had five digs and five kills.
Myra Newman recorded four kills and five digs.
Shea Barron posted four kills and two blocks.
Natalie Boehmer had nine assists and three digs.
