ST. CLOUD, MN – An impressive fourth quarter sparks the University of Mary women's basketball team (6-3, 3-2 Northern Sun) to their third straight win over St. Cloud State University (6-4, 3-2 NSIC) 73-55 on the road.
UMary outscored the SCSU 20-4 in the fourth quarter, with the Huskies last three points coming in the final 1:20 remaining in the game.
Emily Jaenke led the way for the Marauders, scoring 19 points off the bench. Jaenke shot 7-of-14 from the field and 4-of-9 from three.
Bergan Kinnebrew recorded 15 points and four rebounds.
Ryleigh Wacha contributed ten points and five rebounds while shooting 50% from the floor.
Addison Rozell gave UMary great minutes in the paint, recording seven points, nine rebounds and three blocks.
The Marauders bench unit continues to be a strength for the team as they outscored the Huskies bench 33-10.
The Marauders fell behind 8-1 early in the first quarter but finished strong to take a 21-18 lead. The second quarter saw the UMary cut to one point as the score was 33-32 going into halftime.

Emily Jaenke to end the third quarter gave the Marauders a 53-51 lead. UMary held SCSU to 1-of-11 shooting from the field and forced nine turnovers from the Huskies. The Marauders shot 7-of-13 from the field while only committing three turnovers.
UMary shot 40.0 percent from the field and went 6-of-24 from three, while SCSU posted a 35.0 shoot percentage from the field and shot 7-of-17 from behind the arc. The Marauders went 15-of-20 from the free throw line, while the Huskies shot 6-of-10 from the charity stripe.
UMary controlled the glass, outrebounding SCSU 46-36 over UMC. The Marauders turned the ball over 15 time as the Huskies committed 20 turnovers.
The Marauders return home for their final game before Christmas. UMary hosts Bemidji State University on Saturday, December 21, at 3:30 pm in the McDowell Activity Center.
