KEARNEY, NE – The #18 University of Mary wrestling team had nine Marauders place at the Younes Hospitality Open, the largest tournament in the nation. 

#2 Reece Barnhardt took third place at 133 pounds in the Elite division. He opened his day with an 18-1 tech fall over Chadron State's Colter Julian. The Bismarck, ND, native then pinned his next two opponents in the second round and quarterfinal. Barnhardt would fall in a close 7-6 decision to Colorado Mines's Trebor Moreno. The senior recovered by pinning #9 Oran Huff (Colorado Mesa) at the 2:56 mark to advance to the third-place match. Barnhardt would take third after his opponent forfeited the match.

Sean Solis finished fourth at 141 pounds in the Elite Division. After dropping his first match by a 7-5 decision, Solis would rally off five straight victories. He would fall by a 10-3 to decision Nebraska Kearney's Joseph Ariola in the third-place match.

Dante Roggio placed fifth at 184 pounds in the Elite Division. Roggio won his first match by a 5-2 decision over South Dakota State's Jared Stiry. He would then fall to NCAA Division I wrestler Owen Heiser (Air Force). Roggio would go on to win his next two matches. The Kuna, ID, native fell in the consolation semis but would take the fifth-place match by a no contest.

Michael Murillo wrestled unattached and took fourth at 197 pounds in the Elite division. Murillo opened by defeating #12 Gabe Carranza (Colorado Mesa) by a 5-2 decision. He then went on to win his next two matches by decision to make it to the semifinals. Murillo lost in the semifinals to NCAA Division I wrestler Thomas Dineen (South Dakota State). Murillo fell in his third-place match by a 12-7 decision to #3 Jackson Kinsella (Nebraska-Kearney)
