BISMARCK, ND –
Samantha Sheridan won two events as the University of Mary swimming & diving team lost a close meet to Minnesota State University Moorhead 103-100.
Samantha Sheridan took down the 1000 Yard Freestyle as she posted a time of 11:12.59. Her sister,
Lola Sheridan, followed right behind with a time of 11:28.26 to finish second.
The Billings, MT, also won gold in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:28.23.
Amber Norgaard (5:36.27) finished runner-up.
Madeline Desmond grabbed a victory in the 100 Yard Butterfly, recording a time of 1:00.07. '
The 100 Yard Freestyle saw
Peyton Wunderlich win the event with an impressive time of 53.97.
Maria Strong won the 100 Yard Backstroke, posting a time of 1:00.94.
The team of
Elise Altringer,
Madeline Desmond, Strong and Wunderlich placed second in the 200 Yard Medley Relay after they recorded a time of 1:52.21.
Altringer took silver in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:03.94.
Finishing off the meet was the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay. The team of
Michaela Desmond, Strong, Norgaard, Wunderlich finished second after posting a time of 3:43.98.
The Marauders next competition is against Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD, on Saturday, October 26, at noon in the Aberdeen YMCA.
