THE RECORD
UMary is 4-14 overall and 2-8 in the Northern Sun. The Marauders currently sit in 12
th place in the Northern Sun standings.
LAST TIME OUT
UMary defeated Minot State University in three sets (25-19, 25-22, 25-22) at home. The Marauders then went on the road to defeat Minnesota State University Moorhead in five sets (25-23, 24-26, 15-25, 25-17, 15-12).
Maddie Cooper had a career-high 16 kills on an impressive .429 hitting percentage in UMary's defeat over MSUM.
Holli Klettheimer led the Marauders with 11 kills on a .429 attack percentage in their victory over MSU.
STAT LEADERS
Charli Blackman leads the Marauders in kills with 160 and is second on the team in digs (164).
Kaia Sueker has the most digs on the team (288). She ranks 7
th in the NSIC in total digs and digs per set (4.43).
Maddy Freed has dished out the most assists with 521. Freed is 7
th in the conference in total assists and assists per set (9.43).
Gabby Caskey is second on the team in blocks (36) and has the second most kills (152) on a team-leading .244 attack percentage.
McKenna Kirkpatrick leads the team in blocks (37), averaging 1.28 blocks per set.
OPPO RESEARCH – NORTHERN STATE UNIVERSITY
NSU is 13-4 overall and 5-4 in the Northern Sun. The Wolves are currently seventh in the NSIC standings. Outside hitter Natalia Szybinska leads the team in kills with 204. Setter Keri Walker has the most assists (655) on NSU. Middle hitter Abby Brooks has recorded 66 blocks to lead the Wolves. Defensive specialist Abby Meister has the most digs (343) on the team.
THE STAFF
Abby Pollart returns for her fourth season as the head coach of Marauders Volleyball. Joining Pollart, also for her fourth season in the program, is assistant coach
Bree Spenner, as well as
Madeleine Callicoat in her first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach.

MARAUDERS PICKED TO FINISH 12
TH IN THE NSIC
The 2024 NSIC Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll projected the Marauders to finish 12
th in the Northern Sun this upcoming season. Last season, UMary took 12
th in the NSIC after finishing the season with a 9-19 record overall and a 4-14 record in conference action.
NSIC PLAYER TO WATCH
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced that returning fifth-year senior
Maddie Cooper is the player to watch for UMary for the 2024 season. Cooper is the Marauders leading returner from last year in kills (204), kills per set (2.04), blocks (77), blocks per set (0.75), and hitting percentage (.230). The Fargo, ND, native also provided UMary with 24 serving aces and 50 digs last season.
