BISMARCK, ND – It's homecoming weekend for the University of Mary volleyball team as the Marauders welcome Winona State University to the McDowell Activity Center on Friday, October 4, at 6 pm. UMary then hosts Concordia University, St. Paul on Saturday, October 5, at 5 pm.

TICKETS FAQ
- Fans who purchase tickets online receive a discount over tickets purchased at the gate. Single-game adult volleyball tickets are $10 plus fees when fans buy online at www.UMaryTickets.com or via the Hometown Fan app. Tickets for seniors (ages 65 and older) and youth (ages 13-18) are $5 plus fees.
- Single-game volleyball tickets purchased at the gate are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and youth.
- Children under the age of 13 are free when accompanied by an adult. Unaccompanied children's ticket prices are $5.
- Tickets purchased at the gate are CASH-ONLY transactions. Debit and credit card purchases are online only at www.umarytickets.com or via the HomeTown Fan App.
- UMary students, faculty and staff with their MCard are admitted FREE.
LAST TIME OUT
UMary (2-10, 0-4 NSIC) got swept in their road matchups against the University of Sioux Falls and Wayne State College.
Charli Blackman had an excellent weekend as she recorded 14 kills against WSC, the most she has had against NSIC competition. Blackman also posted 11 digs against the Wildcats and had nine kills and ten digs against USF.
STAT LEADERS
Charli Blackman leads the Marauders in kills with 118 and is second on the team in digs (124).
Gabby Caskey has the most blocks on the team (27) and has the second most kills (110) on a team-leading .237 attack percentage.
Kaia Sueker has the most digs on the team (186). She ranks 8
th in the NSIC in total digs and digs per set (4.43).
Maddy Freed has dished out the most assists with 398. Freed is 7
th in the conference in total assists and assists per set (9.48).
OPPO RESEARCH – WINONA STATE UNIVERSITY
WSU is 8-7 overall and 1-3 in the Northern Sun. Right-side hitter Sidney Paulson leads the team in kills and ranks second in the NSIC with 165. Middle hitter Abigail Savatski leads the Warriors in blocks with 53 and is fourth in the conference. Kylie Welch has recorded the most digs (262) on WSU.
OPPO RESEARCH – CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY, ST. PAUL
CSP is ranked 12
th in the nation and has amassed an 8-4 record overall and a 3-1 record in the NSIC. Middle blocker Claudia Stahlke leads the team and the NSIC in blocks with 70. Teagan Starkey has the most assists in the conference with 580. Outside hitter Sophia Anderson leads the Golden Bears in kills with 121.
MARAUDERS PICKED TO FINISH 12
TH IN THE NSIC
The 2024 NSIC Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll projected the Marauders to finish 12
th in the Northern Sun this upcoming season. Last season, UMary took 12
th in the NSIC after finishing the season with a 9-19 record overall and a 4-14 record in conference action.
NSIC PLAYER TO WATCH
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced that returning fifth-year senior
Maddie Cooper is the player to watch for UMary for the 2024 season. Cooper is the Marauders leading returner from last year in kills (204), kills per set (2.04), blocks (77), blocks per set (0.75), and hitting percentage (.230). The Fargo, ND, native also provided UMary with 24 serving aces and 50 digs last season.
THE STAFF
Abby Pollart returns for her fourth season as the head coach of Marauders Volleyball. Joining Pollart, also for her fourth season in the program, is assistant coach
Bree Spenner, as well as
Madeleine Callicoat in her first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
