BISMARCK, ND – In-state rivals Minot State University travel to Bismarck, ND, to take on the University of Mary volleyball team on Thursday, October 17, at 6 pm in the McDowell Activity Center. The Marauders then hit the road to take on Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, MN, on Saturday, October 19, at 2 pm.
CANCER AWARENESS GAME
The Marauders will honor Bemidji State University Volleyball head coach Kevin Ulmer in their Cancer Awareness game against Minot State University on Thursday, October 16. Ulmer passed away last month after a three-year battle with cancer. UMary will have a table collecting donations at the entrance. The Marauders will also host a Miracle Minute between sets to collect donations. All proceeds collected will be donated to Ulmer's family.

- Single-game volleyball tickets purchased at the gate are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and youth.
- Children under the age of 13 are free when accompanied by an adult. Unaccompanied children's ticket prices are $5.

LAST TIME OUT
UMary (2-14, 0-8 NSIC) fell in three sets to #7 Southwest Minnesota State University and four sets to Minnesota State University, Mankato on the road.
Gabby Caskey had an impressive weekend as she averaged 9.5 kills on a .300 hitting percentage.
Kaia Sueker recorded 15 digs against SMSU and 19 digs against MSU, averaging 4.9 digs per set.
STAT LEADERS
Charli Blackman leads the Marauders in kills with 138 and is second on the team in digs (151).
Kaia Sueker has the most digs on the team (248). She ranks 8
th in the NSIC in total digs and digs per set (4.35).
Maddy Freed has dished out the most assists with 521. Freed is 7
th in the conference in total assists and assists per set (9.14).
McKenna Kirkpatrick leads the team in blocks (37) and she is averaging 1.28 blocks per set.
Gabby Caskey is second on the team in blocks (32) and has the second most kills (131) on a team-leading .244 attack percentage.
OPPO RESEARCH – MINOT STATE UNIVERSITY
MSU is 1-14 overall and 0-8 in the Northern Sun. Junior right-side hitter Paulina Kowalska leads the team in kills with 117. Senior middle blocker Bailee Brommenschenkel leads the Beavers with 43 blocks. Junior setter Emily Barker has the most assists on MSU with 180. Freshman Libero Kelci Madrid has recorded 144 digs, which leads the team.
OPPO RESEARCH – MINNESOTA STATE UNIVERSITY MOORHEAD
MSUM is 7-8 on the year and 2-5 in the NSIC. Freshman outside hitter Brielle Riess has the most kills (157) on the Dragons. Freshman setter Annalise Wilson leads the team in assists with 305. Senior middle blocker Abby Thompson has recorded 44 blocks to lead MSUM. Sophomore libero Kiara Olesch leads the Dragons in digs with 246.

MARAUDERS PICKED TO FINISH 12
TH IN THE NSIC
The 2024 NSIC Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll projected the Marauders to finish 12
th in the Northern Sun this upcoming season. Last season, UMary took 12
th in the NSIC after finishing the season with a 9-19 record overall and a 4-14 record in conference action.
NSIC PLAYER TO WATCH
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced that returning fifth-year senior
Maddie Cooper is the player to watch for UMary for the 2024 season. Cooper is the Marauders leading returner from last year in kills (204), kills per set (2.04), blocks (77), blocks per set (0.75), and hitting percentage (.230). The Fargo, ND, native also provided UMary with 24 serving aces and 50 digs last season.
