BOTTINEAU, ND – Seth Cushing tallied twice and Isaiah Thomas dished three assists as #5 University of Mary downed longtime foe Dakota College at Bottineau 6-0.
 
Facing the Lumberjacks for the 25^th time in program history, more than any other opponent, the Marauders used a pair of flurries to earn their fifth straight win and improve to 11-3-0-0-1 (W-L-OTL-SOW-SOL) overall. The Lumberjacks are 8-5-0-0-0.
 
This was the first of two meetings this season between the Marauders, who made the jump to American Collegiate Hockey Association Men's Division I this season after playing five seasons in ACHA MD2, and the Lumberjacks. Dakota College is the only ACHA MD2 team the Marauders will play this season.
 
UMary struck for three goals in a span covering just over four minutes in the first period to take control of the game. Cushing first found the net at 6:55. Jacob Murray scored his first goal of the season at 8:07 and Cushing found the net again at 11:09.
 
Cushing now has 11 goals in his last seven games and a team-leading 13 on the year.
 
After a scoreless second period, the Marauders ran away with the game with three more goals in the third. Cyril Nagurski scored his career-high 8^th goal on a power play less than three minutes into the final stanza. Liam Massie tallied at 5:13 before Luke Schleusner finished the night with a goal at 8:57.
 
Nagurski, Schleusner and Murray all finished with a goal and an assist.   
 
In his first start with the Marauders, Cameron Milewski delivered a shutout. He stopped all 19 shots he faced, including 10 in the final period.
 
Mason Matthew stopped 40 of the 46 shots he faced for DCB.
 
The Marauders return to action December 1-2 with a home and home series with the University of Jamestown in Midwest College Hockey action.
