BISMARCK, ND – Opening weekend is here for the University of Mary swim team and a veteran team can't wait to get started. The Marauders host the University of Jamestown on Saturday, October 1, at the BSC Aquatic & Fitness Center. The opening race is slated for 1 pm.
All-NSIC performers
Victoria Murillo,
Breena DeLegge and
Rylie Webb are back for their senior seasons. Out of the 16 swimmers on the squad, 12 are returners and five are seniors.
A seven-time All-Northern Sun champion, Murillo returns after missing last season. The NSIC record-holder in the 500 yard free, the native of Cancun, Mexico, qualified for three straight NCAA championships.
DeLegge, a 3-time All-NSIC swimmer who won the 100 free conference title as a sophomore, and Webb provide a strong base for the Marauders.
Madi Yonke and
Keely Lacina round out the Marauders senior class.
Mikayla Brackin,
Allie Elliott and
Korie Riely are juniors.
Marina Conde Revuelto,
Elle Holland,
Breanna Lund and
Mariapocs Ruiz Martinez comprise the sophomore class.
