BISMARCK, ND – Competing at home for the first time this season, the 8
th ranked University of Mary wrestling team put on a spectacular show at the McDowell Activity Center, winning all but one match on the night while demolishing Concordia College 41-3 and Dickinson State University 41-0.
Winners in 19 of 20 matches on the evening, the Marauders posted bonus point victories in 13 of the wins, including three by fall.

The Marauders opened the triangular with a dominant effort against the Cobbers. After earning six team points as Concordia left the 125 pound weight class open, All-American Reese Barnhardt started a run of eight straight wins on the mat for UMary with a 9-1 major decision at 133.
After a pair of wins by
Laken Boese at 141 and
Leo Mushinsky at 149,
Anthony Velazquez got the McDowell Activity Center rocking with an 11-2 major decision over Tyler Bents at 157, followed quickly by
Braydon Huber's pin of Elijah Hunt at 165 in an impressively quick time of 51 seconds.
Big wins continued for the Marauders with
Max Bruss rolling up a 14-4 major decision at 174 before
Wyatt Lidberg dominated Ayden Friese at 184 with a 16-1 technical fall.
Matt Kaylor claimed the Marauders final win of the night at 197 with a pin of Gabriel Zierden that earned the Bismarck, ND, native North Dakota Petroleum Dude of the Duel honors.

The Marauders express kept rolling in a shutout of the Blue Hawks. Out of the ten UMary wins, one was by fall and the last six were bonus point victories.
Wrestling for the first time on the night,
Jaden Verhagen picked up a 10-6 win at 125 before Barnhardt pinned Cade Martian at 4:38 of the 133 match. Boese and Mushinsky followed with the second win of the night for both wrestlers.
Once again Velazquez at 157 set a frenetic pace for the Marauders with an 11-2 major decision over Kale Corley to start a run of six straight bonus point wins.
Huber again dominated his match at 165 as the All-American claimed a 15-5 major decision over Riley Benson. Bruss followed at 174 with an even slightly bigger margin of victory as he ran off a 15-3 major decision against Jack Simons.
Earning his second technical fall of the night, Lidberg ended his match with Samuel Adams early after rolling up a 21-3 advantage at the 6:38 mark. Kaylor then pulled off a 12-3 major decision over Konrich Speelmon.
In the final event of the night,
Luke Tweeton put on a show at 285, capturing a 16-1 technical fall at 7:00 over Chase Nutting to earn North Dakota Petroleum Dude of the Dual recognition.
