BISMARCK, ND - The University of Mary women's basketball team (9-9, 3-6 Northern Sun) hosts a pair of home games, starting with Wayne State College (7-6, 4-5 NSIC) on Friday, January 14, at 7:30 pm. UMary then welcomes Augustana University (7-5, 3-5 NSIC) on Saturday, January 15, at 5:30 pm. The Marauders currently sit in 14
th place in the NSIC and seventh in the NSIC North.

Game tickets for Marauders basketball are available online at www.UMaryTickets.com and at the gate. Adult tickets are $10 while senior citizen and youth tickets (13-18 years old) are $5. UMary students and faculty with their MCard and youth 12 and younger are admitted free.
Last Time Out
UMary was defeated in its last road contests. The Marauders would fall to the University of Sioux Falls 74-58 and Southwest Minnesota State University 70-57.
Lexie Schneider posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds against USF. Schneider then scored 21 points while grabbing eight rebounds against SMSU.
About The Opposition
Wayne State College is 7-6 overall and 4-5 in the Northern Sun. WSC is ninth in the NSIC and fifth in the NSIC South. The Wildcats head coach Brent Pollari is a University of Mary alumni, spending two seasons in the UMary men's basketball program. Â Senior guard Kylie Hammer leads the Northern Sun in scoring, averaging 20 ppg on 45.5% shooting. Leading WSC in rebounding is senior forward Kassidy Pingel, who averages 6.7 rpg. Junior guard Lauren Zacharias leads the team in assists as she has dished out a total of 30. Â
Augustana University has a record of 7-5 overall and 4-5 in the NSIC. AU sits in 13
th place in the Northern Sun and is sixth in the NSIC South. Sophomore guard Lauren Sees leads the Vikings in scoring with 16.8 ppg on 45.1% shooting. Junior forward Aislinn Duffy leads the NSIC in rebounding, averaging 11.9 rpg. Duffy also leads AU in assists as she averages 3.5 apg.

Lexie Schneider leads the team in scoring, averaging 12.4 ppg. She also leads UMary in rebounding with 8.3 rpg. She's second in the NSIC in rebounding, 19

Macy Williams leads the Marauders in assists with 61 total and is averaging 9.2 ppg. Williams is 10
th in the NSIC in assists and 11

Megan Voit is the team leader in three-pointers made with a total of 51 and is third on the team in scoring while averaging 11.3 ppg. She is shooting .383 from behind the arc. She is first in the NSIC three-pointers made per game and in three-point field goal percentage.
Megan Zander is second on the team in scoring with 11.6 ppg while averaging 5.3 rpg. She's shooting .450 from three on 27-of-60 shooting. She's 16

Williams is third in all-time assists at UMary with 423. Williams has a chance to become second all-time in assists as she trails Renae Amundson (438).
Coaches
Head coach
Rick Neumann is fourth all-time in coaching wins at UMary with 142. In his ninth season, he has a record of 142-127`. Hall of Fame coach Roger Haug is the Marauders all-time leader in wins (234), followed by Fred Fridley (170), Cal Collins (150) and Neumann (142).
UMary brought in two assistant coaches
Brooke LeMar and
Chloe Wanink for the 2020-21 season. LeMar was a two-time all-conference after spending her collegiate career at NCAA Division I North Dakota State University. She then went on to play professionally in several countries including Denmark, Germany, Australia and Sweden. LeMar worked as the Director of Player Development at the California Baptist University.
Wanink was a four-year all-conference performer at NCAA Division I Wofford University. She was a three-year captain at Wofford and led the Southern Conference in scoring her junior season averaging 21 points per game. She was named the 2019-20 SoCon Preseason Player of the Year and was named to the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard watchlist.

Megan Voit. Schneider led the NSIC in rebounding and was second on the team in scoring with 12.5 ppg.
Voit led the team in total three-pointers made with 22 while averaging 7.9 ppg.
Williams was first in the NSIC in assists with 75. Williams ranks 7
th all-time for the University of Mary in assists.
