Marauders take down Jimmies to win first home swim meet of the season

BISMARCK, ND - The University of Mary swimming team earned their third win of the season as they took down the University of Jamestown 153-121 in their first home swim meet of the season.

"I was happy with their performances today. They stepped up and raced well while in the middle of hard training. It was a great overall team effort this afternoon," said head coach Leah Neiheisel.
 
The meet opened with the 200-yard medley relay, where the team of Mady Scherwinski, Rylie Webb, Breena DeLegge and Camille Merimee took home the victory after posting a time of 1:50.41.
 
Rachel Bailey won the 1000 free, recording a time of 11:41.40. Miki Brackin followed closely behind as she took second (12:17.13).
 
Andrea Lee was victorious in 200 free as she finished with a time of 1:56.76. Allie Elliott finished third (2:03.19).
 
Camille Merimee took home the 50-yard backstroke after she recorded a time of 28.94. Breanna Lund placed third with a time of 30.14.
 
Rylie Webb took down the 50-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 31.18. Andrea Lee finished third with a time of 35.31.

Breena DeLegge won the 100 fly after recording a time of 59.39. Mariapocs Ruiz Martinez would take third (1:05.72).
 
Camille Merimee would win her second solo event after taking the 50 free with a time of 26.05. Marina Conde Revuelto would finish not far behind as she took second (26.19).
 
Breena DeLegge then recorded her second solo event win as she won the 100 free after posting a time of 53.71.
 
Rylie Webb won the 100-yard breaststroke after finishing with a time of 1:08.36. Sarah Dudley took second with a time of (1:13.30).

Mady Scherwinski would take home the 50 fly after recording a time of 28.72. Sarah Dudley placed second (29.21) and Mariapocs Ruiz Martinez finished third (28.72).

Finishing off the meet was the 200-yard freestyle relay as the team of Andrea Lee, Mady Scherwinski, Camille Merimee and Breena DeLegge earned the victory, posting a time of 1:40.30.

The Marauders travel to Moorhead, MN, to compete against Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday, November 6, at 1 pm.
