GOLDEN, CO - The University of Mary swimming team opened their weekend against Colorado School of Mines and division one Colorado State University. UMary would fall to CSU 122-47 and Mines 111-59.
"I'm proud with how the team competed today. They fought through some tough races with opponents we raced for the first time today. Looking to build from this weekend as we have the University of Jamestown and MSU Moorhead coming up," said head coach

Opening the meet was the 400-yard medley relay, where the team of
Mady Scherwinski,
Rylie Webb,
Breena DeLegge and
Camille Merimee placed fourth, recording a time of 4:14.77.

Breena DeLegge earned two top-three finishes on the day. She finished third in the 50 free after posting a time of 24.68. Delegge then placed third in the 100 free with a time of 53.94.
Andrea Lee took home a third-place finish in the 500 free after earning a time of 5:22.86. The All-American also finished fourth in the 200 free (1:59.76).

Rachel Bailey posted a time of 11:49.96 in the 1000 free, giving her a fourth-place finish.
Finishing off the meet was the 400-yard freestyle relay as the team of
Andrea Lee,
Mady Scherwinski,
Camille Merimee and
Breena DeLegge took second with a time of 3:45.97.

The Marauders will host their first swim meet of the year as the University of Jamestown comes to the BSC Aquatic & Fitness Center on Saturday, October 30, at 11 am.
