DENVER, CO – The University of Mary swimming and diving team travels to Denver, CO, to compete against Colorado School of Mines and Colorado State University on Saturday, October 16, at 9 am.

Last Time Out
The Marauders opened the 2021-22 season with wins over Northern State University and Concordia University, St. Paul. UMary defeated NSU 119-85 and CSP 146-52.

NCAA All-American Andrea Lee claimed the 1000 free, recording a time of 10:53.97.

Breena DeLegge won the 200 free, clocking in at 1:58.18. The junior also took home the 100 fly with a time of 58.95.

Freshman Camille Merimee earned her first NCAA win after taking home the 50 free with a time of 25.58. The Strongsville, OH, native then won the 100 free after posting a time of 56.78.

Rylie Webb won the 200 IM after finishing with a time of 2:17.28. Webb then claimed the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.13.

About The Opposition
Colorado State University has opened the season with a 7-0 record. The Division 1 program finished 5^th in the 2020 Mountain West Swimming and Diving Championships. Senior Kristina Friedrichs was the Rams top performer as she finished 4^th in the 100 free at the Mountain West Championships. Senior Abbey Owenby placed 5^th at the Mountain West Championships in the 1650 free.

Colorado School of Mines is projected to finish second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Orediggers placed second in the 2021 RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships. Megan Slowly was named Swimmer of the Meet for her performance at the 2021 RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships. Jorie Selig and Megan Slowly both qualified for the 2020 NCAA Championships.

Last Season
Last season the Marauders finished fourth in the Northern Sun after going 3-1 in the shortened regular season due to COVID-19. UMary had two swimmers earn NCAA All-American honors for the first time in Andrea Lee and Abbey Zajdzinski

Returners
Coming off an All-American season, UMary swimmer Andrea Lee was named the Marauders 2021-22 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Swimmer to Watch. Lee earned All-American Honors in the 1650 free at NCAA Championship after finishing 16th. Lee finished second in the 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free and the 1650 free at the NSIC Championships.

Victoria Murillo looks to continue her dominance at the NSIC Championships as she won the 200 and 500 free last season. The Cancun native qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200 free, 500 free and 1000 free.

Breena DeLegge returns after winning the 100 free in the NSIC Championships. DeLegge qualified for the 2019 NCAA Championships in the 50 and 100 free.

Rylie Webb earned NSIC all-conference honors last season after finishing third in the 100 IM.

New Faces
The Marauders will welcome nine freshmen to the team. They are Ellie Wilson, Marina Conde Revuelto, Mariapocs Ruiz Martinez, Megan Miller, Camille Merimee, Breanna Lund, Rachel Bailey, Elle Holland and Emma Bradley.
