Marauders head coach Craig Bagnell announces 45 football commitments for 2020

BISMARCK, ND – On the first day of the 2020 national signing period, University of Mary head coach Craig Bagnell announced the commitment of 46 student-athletes who will continue their education at UMary and compete on the gridiron for the Marauders. 

"We are excited to announce the addition of a tremendous group of student-athletes to our football program," said UMary head coach Craig Bagnell. "The 2020 Marauders Football Class is extremely talented, is filled with great individuals and has a very bright future with our program. 

"Our staff has spent countless hours evaluating this group and did a tremendous job finding the right people to help our football program take a step in the right direction."

Out of the 45 commitments, six are midyear transfers from 4-year and junior colleges who are already attending UMary. Thirty-seven commitments are high school student-athletes and two are junior college transfers who will join the Marauders this summer.

Rhett Clements (QB, 6-3, 185, Fr., Bismarck, N.D. / Legacy High School)
All-state selection as a senior at Legacy High School at QB in 2019… all-conference as a QB and DB as a senior… all-conference QB as a junior… All-conference and all-state tournament team in basketball as a junior in 2019… also competes in track & field as a jumper… his father was also his high school football coach… Son of Chris and Jamelle Clements… both parents were student-athletes at UMary… dad was team captain on Marauders 1996 Hall of Fame team and a coach on the 1999 Hall of Fame team… mom played basketball for UMary… will major in engineering at the University of Mary.
