BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary hockey team will be back in action this weekend for a home and home with the University of Jamestown. UMary travels to Jamestown on Friday, February 14 for a 7 PM matchup. The Marauders will host the Jimmies on Saturday, February 15 for a 7 PM puck drop.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time the Marauders were on the ice was at the Mountain West Conference Championships. After an opening round bye, the Marauders took down Utah State 7-4 to advance to the finals. UMary met the University of Providence in the championship game, dropping the matchup 2-3 in overtime.
RECORDS
The Marauders boast a 37-8 record. UMary's 37 wins are the most in ACHA Division 2.
#1 IN THE NATION
For the first time in program history, the University of Mary hockey team received the nations #1 spot earlier this season. The Marauders retook the top spot again and have maintained it during the last few polls.
#1 IN THE REGION
The Marauders rank #1 in the West Region Poll this season. The Marauders have been #1 in the west since the first rankings came out last season.
SCORING MACHINES
The Marauders certainly know how to make the goal horn sound. UMary has recorded an impressive 237 goals on the season, averaging just over five goals per game.
Alex Flicek and
Seth Cushing are tied for the team lead with 31 goals. Flicek leads the team with 62 points with Zachery Garrett coming in second with 55. Flicek and Cushing are tied for 16
th in the nation in goals scored. Flicek is 19
th in points.
NOT IN OUR HOUSE
Lance Knudson picked up right where he left off by winning games. Knudson has started the season 20-5, recording 565 saves on the season.
Kyle Hayden has an 16-2 record, recording 390 saves. Knudson's 20 wins are second in the nation and his 565 saves is fifth. His four shutouts are third in the nation.
TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
The Marauders sure know how to distribute the puck with 23 athletes recording assists on the season.
Zach Garrett leads the team with 35 assists this season.
Kyler Moore is second with 32. Garrett is 19
th in the nation in assists.
BREAKING RECORDS
The Marauders only took two games to break a record from their first season. The Marauders recorded a program record of ten goals in their victory over NDSU in game number two.
Just a few weeks later they matched that record with a 10-0 win over Utah State. The 10-goal victory was the largest victory in program history.
Later in the season, UMary would go on and shatter that record, taking down Grand Canyon University 23-0. All 18 UMary skaters recorded points in the game with 12 players scoring goals.

Kyler Moore all posted hat tricks on the game.
TRIPLED UP
The Marauders have tripled up their opponents in goals scored this season. UMary is outscoring their competition by a score of 237-74.
