NEXT CONTESTANT
The University of Mary hockey team heads to Boise, Idaho to compete in their first showcase of the season. The Marauders will compete in four games over a four-day period. They will kick off the showcase against Northern Arizona on Thursday, September 26 at 3:30 PM. The Marauders follow that up with games against Weber State on Friday, September 27 at 2:15 PM. On day three of the showcase, UMary takes on tournament host, Boise State at 8 PM on Saturday, September 28. UMary will then face a quick turnaround as they take on Metropolitan State – Denver on Sunday, September 29 at 10 AM to close out the tournament.

LAST TIME OUT
The Marauders picked up right where they left off last season, and that is with winning. UMary kicked off their second season with a 3-0 record. The Marauders hosted NDSU for a pair of games and showed their dominance, taking down the Bison 5-2 and 10-1. The Marauders followed that up by facing ACHA Division I foe, Jamestown in their first road contest of the season. A four goal third period led the Marauders to a 5-3 victory over the Jimmies.

The Marauders boast a 3-0 record heading into the Bronco showcase.

SCORING MACHINES
The Marauders certainly know how to make the goal horn sound. UMary has recorded an impressive 20 goals on the season, averaging just under seven goals per game. Zach Garrett and Seth Cushing lead the team with four goals each. A total of 11 different Marauders have found the back of the net this season.

NOT IN OUR HOUSE
Lance Knudson picked up right where he left off by winning games. Knudson has started the season 2-0, recording 38 saves on the season. Kyle Hayden earned a win in his first appearance for the Marauders, recording 23 saves.

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
UMary has recorded 32 assists on the season. Alex Horner leads the team with four assists. 17 athletes have recorded an assist so far this season.

BREAKING RECORDS
The Marauders only took two games to break a record from their first season. The Marauders recorded a program record of ten goals in their victory over NDSU in game number two.

TRIPLED UP
The Marauders have tripled up their opponents in goals scored this season. UMary is outscoring their competition by a score of 20-6.

One thing that has not changed from last season is the tremendous amount of support the Marauders receive from the community. For the second year in a row, the Marauders won their first game of the season in front of a sold out crowd!
