UMary Swimming and Diving Claims Victory In All 16 Events In Win Over Cobbers

BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary swimming and diving team returned to Bismarck to swim in their home pool for the first time in two months. The Marauders took full advantage of being in their home pool, claiming victory in all 16 of the events, taking down Concordia College 176-44.
 
The Marauders improve to 4-3 on the season with the victory.
 
The team of Alyssa boese, Rylie Webb, Mackenzie Houston, and Breena Delegge got the winning rolling for the Marauders with an event win in the 200 yard medley, posting a time of 1:50.72.
 
Melissa Andrews claimed the 1000 free by nearly 13 seconds, recording a time of 11:41.69. Mady Scherwinski took third with a time of 11:59.39.
 
Victoria Murillo won the 200 free by almost 19 seconds with a time of 1:57.12. Sarah Dudley claimed second with a time of 2:16.01.
 
Rachel Riedel won the 50 backstroke posting a time of 30.05 seconds. Right behind her was Kate Murphy (30.13) in second and Megan Manly (30.41) in third.
 
Mackenzie Houston won the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.37. In second was Alyssa Boese (1:01.38) and in third was Hannah Espinosa (1:01.54).
 
Kate Murphy won the 50 back with a time of 26.49 seconds. Mady Scherwinski took third (27.23).
 
Breena Delegge won the 100 free in a time of 54.31. Andrea Lee took third recording a time of 56.51 seconds.
 
Rachel Riedel took first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:04.20. In second was Megan Manly (1:06.47).
 
Victoria Murillo took the 100 yard breaststroke by nearly seven seconds with a time of 1:08.12. Erica Mitchell claimed second (1:15.05) and Sarah Hegland third (1:19.65).
 
Mackenzie Houston won the 50 fly with a time of 27.29. Espinosa was right behind her with a time of 27.32. Breena Delegge claimed third with a time of 27.72.
 
Mariah Stewart earned the win off of the three meter diving board.
 
Alyssa Boese won the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:16.12. Rylie Webb was right behind her with a time of 2:16.87.
 
The Marauders wrapped up the day with a win in the 200 free relay. The team of Delegge, Smith, Murphy, and Webb claimed first with a time of 1:44.12.
 
The Marauders will be back in action January 17-18 at the Dragon Invite in West Fargo, ND.
