SIOUX FALLS, SD – Sydney Murphy concluded her junior season the same way she began it, with a double-double. Murphy recorded 24 assists and 10 digs in her final matchup of the season.
Anna Nietfeld and
Julianna Hughes would shine in their last game in Marauders uniforms with both recording six kills. Nietfeld added three service aces and Hughes posted two blocks. The Marauders fell in their final match of the year to University of Sioux falls in three sets.
With the loss UMary finishes the season with a 1-28 record and 0-20 in conference play. Sioux Falls finishes the season with a 17-11 record, going 9-11 in the NSIC.
PIVOT POINT
Sioux Falls was able to storm out to an 8-1 lead in the first set, claiming set one 25-12. UMary was able to keep things competitive in the next two, falling in both by a score of 25-19 in both. UMary, trailing 24-15 in the third set, stormed back, determined not to let their season end, rallying together four straight points to make things competitive. USF would score the final point of the game to clinch the set and match.
