WINONA, MN – Continuing her outstanding freshman season with the University of Mary, Tasha Dembo continued to roll and picked up wins in singles and doubles against Winona State University. The Warriors, holding second place in the Northern Sun on the final weekend of the regular season, captured the other seven matches to defeat the visiting Marauders 7-2.
 
Teaming with Eileen Leong in doubles play, Dembo and Leong opened with a tight 9-7 win at #1 doubles in a marathon match. The pair is undefeated as a duo in doubles action this season, winning all seven of their combined matches.
 
Dembo followed with a straight set win in singles play, claiming a 6-3, 6-4 straight set win in #1 singles over Kaisey Skibba. The newcomer from Harare, Zimbabwe, has won seven of her eight matches since breaking into the lineup midway through the season.
 
While the Warriors didn't take the top match in either singles or doubles, Winona State claimed the remainder of the matches.
 
The Marauders, in pursuit of a slot in the NSIC tournament, close their regular season schedule against Upper Iowa on Sunday, April 8.
