Bismarck, ND – Starting just their third season in school history, the University of Mary swimming and diving team is set to make their 2018-19 home debut to cap off Homecoming Week. Under the leadership of head coach
Allan McCallum, the team holds a 1-1 record as the Marauders prepare to host MSU Moorhead at the BSC Aquatic & Fitness Center on Sunday, October 14, at 2 pm.
The Marauders opened the season October 5-6 with a tri-dual with Northern State and Augustana. The Marauders split the meet, beating Northern State 259-167 and falling to Augustana 246-180.
Victoria Murillo set team records in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:08.13), the 200 yard freestyle (1:55.26), and the 50 yard breaststroke (31.59). Setting these school records earned her victories in both the 50 yard breaststroke and the 200 yard free.
Junior
Alyssa Boese won the 50 yard backstroke against both schools by posting a time of 28.34 seconds. She followed up by winning the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.09.
Anna Jackson claimed a new school record in the 200 yard breaststroke, finishing with a time of 2:30.15.
The lone diver on the Marauders,
Mariah Stewart bested her school record on the 3 meter board.
