Jefferson repeat selection to All-NSIC Men's Basketball 1st team

BURNSVILLE, MN – For a second straight season, University of Mary forward Bryan Jefferson has earned a spot on the All-Northern Sun Men's Basketball first team. The senior from Aurora, IL, is just the second Marauders player named to the NSIC's top team in consecutive seasons.

One of the Marauders most well-rounded players in program history, Jefferson averaged 16.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while shooting 55.2 percent from the field this season, all team-highs. He finished 6th in the NSIC in scoring, fourth in rebounding and 11th in field goal shooting.

The 6-7 senior also averaged 2.2 assists per game, shot 71.7 percent at the free throw line and made 22 steals.

Jefferson led the Marauders in scoring eight times and rebounding 20 times. Including a 30-point 10-rebound effort in the NSIC tournament opening round game to close out his college career, he had six double doubles. Nine times he missed double doubles by a single rebound. He also scored 20 points or more nine times.

Jefferson finished his career with 1,303 points, 9th all-time at Mary. He is fourth all-time in rebounds with 620. A career scoring average of 11.7 points/game, he also averaged 7.6 rebounds/game and shot 55 percent from the field in 111 games, including 77 starts.

The Aurora, IL, native is one of only five Mary student-athletes to crack 1,000 points and 600 rebounds, joining Roger Klemisch (1,465 points and 782 rebounds), Jerome Nichols (1,366 and 707), Rory Entzi (1,870 and 609) and Eric Erdmann (1,642 and 603).

Jefferson joins Anthony Moody (2010, 2011) as the only two Marauders to earn All-NSIC first team honors twice in their careers. Other Marauders who earned All-NSIC honors are Eric Erdmann (2nd team – 2008, 2nd – 2010, 1st 2011) and Damon Smith (2nd – 2012).
