WINONA, MN – The University of Mary volleyball team wrapped up their 2017 road schedule with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-16) loss at #15 Winona State University.
The Warriors, ranked seventh in the NCAA regional poll released earlier in the week, outslugged the jMarauders. Winona State connected offensively at a .400 hitting clip while the Marauders checked in at .108. UMary was limited to 29 kills and made 19 attack errors while WSU posted 43 and nine. The Warriors also held the advantage in blocks (7-3) and digs (42-31).
Lauren Randall led the Marauders in kills and was second in digs with six of each.
Natalia Cruz and
Freddie Campbell both added five kills.
Katelyn Olson had 19 assists and six digs. Giovana Almeida registered eight digs to lead UMary.
Danielle Rampart had 13 kills and eight digs to lead WSU.
The Marauders return home to host Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10-11, to close out the 2017 season.
