BISMARCK, ND – Unable to disrupt the offensive attack of #13 Augustana, the University of Mary was swept by the visiting Vikings 3-0 (25-13, 25-9, 25-17).
The Vikings didn't allow senior
Lauren Randall to get on track for the Marauders. Among the leaders in kills in the Northern Sun, Randall posted a team-high nine for the match. She also had 10 digs. Three Marauders added four kills each;
Freddie Campbell,
Morgan Schnabel and
Katja Berge.
Courtney Place led Augie with 14 kills. Lauren Waite added 10 and Bailey Koch eight. The Vikings trio combined for just two attack errors in 57 swings.
The Vikings posted 41 kills and made just four hitting errors to post an attack percentage of .420 for the game, including a .600 mark in the second set. The Marauders managed 26 kills with 20 errors and hit .064 on the day.
Next the Marauders begin a four-game road trip at the University of Sioux Falls on Oct. 13.
