The Wildcats ended their year on a split with a loss coming to Winona State University, but rebounded for the win against Upper Iowa University for a 16-11, 13-9 NSIC record.

Last Week: U-Mary jumped out to an early lead on the Bulldogs and had to endure a furious second-half rally, but eventually held on for the 81-75 win to start the final home weekend on the right foot. The Marauders utilized a handful of runs in the first half en route to a 43-45 lead at the break before Minnesota Duluth fought back to tie the contest at 57-57. The Marauders fired off another 16-4 run to eventually clinch the win as Brittney Dietz set a new NSIC single-season scoring record with 463 point in conference games with a total of 21 on the night. Hannah Larson finished with 23 points to lead all scorers and Dani Williams ended up with 21 on a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc. The Marauders carried that momentum into the game against the Huskies and opened up the game on another strong first half for a 41-31 lead going into halftime. U-Mary extended their lead out to 47-31 early in the third, but St. Cloud State came roaring back to close the gap down to 47-43. The Huskies were within one possession of the score at 67-64 with less that a minute remaining, but U-Mary closed out the contest from the charity stripe for the 73-66 win. Dietz finished with 25 points to become the second player in U-Mary's history to surpass 1,800 on her career and is currently in second place on U-Mary's scoring list.

Magic Number: At her torrid pace of scoring, Dietz sits merely seven points away from the top spot on U-Mary's all-time scoring list with one guaranteed game remaining. Her career total sits at 1,818 and will likely supass Jessica Zundel by the second quarter against Wayne State.

NSIC Tourney: The Northern Sun Conference Tournament will continue on Sunday, February 28 with the quarterfinals starting at 12 PM, with the semifinals scheduled for Monday, February 29 and the Championship scheduled for Tuesday, March 1.

History: The Marauders last made it to the quarterfinals in 2013-14 when they faced #20 Minnesota State University at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., but couldn't recapture the magic that powered them against Winona State in the previous week as U-Mary fell to the Mavericks at a 95-71 clip.
