FAYETTE, Iowa - The University of Mary (6-10-0) was shutout for 83 minutes and Upper Iowa scored three first half goals to hand the Marauders a 5-1 end of the season loss.

The Marauders finish the 2016 season with a 6-10-0 overall record. After starting the season 4-0-0, Mary lost 10 of its final 12 matches and ended the season on a five-match losing streak.

Marc Carreras scored the Marauders lone goal in the 84th-minute of the match after receiving the pass from senior
Jordan Pearce.

Carreras finished with two shots and one on goal as Pearce played his final match of his career for the Marauders finished with three shots, one on goal and one assist.

Pearce finishes the season with a team-high nine goals and 19 points.

Mary was outhit 17-16 in the match and the Peacocks (8-9-0) Â led in the corner kick category, 12-6.

UIU scored goals in the 4th-minute, 15th-minute, 31st-minute, 50th-minute and the 81st-minute to get the victory.

Connor Rortvedt saved six Mary shots and gave up one goal to secure the win for UIU as
Ludvig Rhodin was given the loss after giving up five goals and saving five shots.

Rhodin finishes the season with a 6-10-0 record.

Aaron Brennan and Guilherme da Silva led the Marauders with two shots on goal each as
Mitch Carter recorded the other shot on goal for Mary.
