DULUTH, Minn. - The University of Mary Women's Basketball team visited the University of Minnesota Duluth tonight in the final weekend of regular season action in the Northern Sun.
Â
The Marauders (9-18, 7-14 NSIC) couldn't get the offense in gear through most of the game as they ended up losing to the Bulldogs (12-13, 10-11 NSIC), 73-40.
Â
U-Mary held an early lead in the first half as they were up 14-8 with 12:52 remaining on the clock, but the Bulldogs put together a 24-4 run that lasted until halftime to turn the tables on the Marauders and put them in a 32-18 hole. The Marauders struggled to find any rhythm on offense as they shot 22.6% from the floor even though they were close behind Minnesota Duluth on the boards, 27-24.
Â
Unfortunately the offensive woes continued into the second half as the Marauders never got within single digits of the Bulldogs and eventually fell 73-40.
Â
Dani Clarke did what she could on the offensive end of the court as she finished with nine points, four rebounds, one block and one steal in 27 minutes on the floor.
Â
Hannah Larson was still a force in every phase as she finished with six points, four rebounds, four blocks, one steal and one assist in 33 minutes played.
Â
Brittney Dietz found herself in foul trouble through some of the game as she was well below her season average of 35.2 minutes played with 28 in the game. She still managed five points, three assists and two rebounds in the game in her time on the floor, however.
Â
Sloan Turner provided the interior presence once again with nine rebounds and four points in seventeen minutes played.
Â
The Marauders wrap up their regular season tomorrow night with a game against St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn.
