This Week: The University of Mary Women's Basketball team returns to Bismarck for the start of the conference schedule as they take on Northern State University on Friday, December 4, at 6:00 PM, before hosting Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday, December 5, at 4:00 PM in the McDowell Activity Center.
The Records: The Marauders extended their winning streak to five games after a successful trip down to Hawaii for a 5-2 overall record to start the NSIC schedule. The Wolves own a 4-2 record highlighted by two wins at the tournament hosted by the University of Colorado-Colorado Spring. The Dragons have yet to lose a game so far on the season as their 4-0 record features a win over their travel opponents, Northern State, the week of Thanksgiving.

Last Week: U-Mary paid a visit to Honolulu during Thanksgiving break and came away with two wins against Brigham Young University-Hawaii and Chaminade University. The Marauders had a close game against the Seasiders as BYU-Hawaii kept the score at 26-23 in favor of U-Mary at halftime, but the Marauders broke away with a 15-8 third quarter to put the score at 41-31 going into the fourth. BYU-Hawaii narrowed the gap to 46-41 with 5:02 remaining in the final frame, but U-Mary matched them shot-for-shot through the remainder of the game for the eventual 53-45 victory.
Hannah Larson earned her second double-double on the year with 14 points and 12 rebounds to go with three blocks, while
Brittney Dietz added 14 points to extend her streak of double-digit scoring to open up the season. The Marauders carried that momentum into the game against Chaminade and held the lead at 23-19 after the first quarter. U-Mary extended their lead out to 42-32 at the break and had a scoring explosion in the third with a 28-13 differnce that built a cushion up at 70-45 heading into the final quarter. The Marauders extended their lead out to 30 points at the start of the fourth and eventually had the starters phased out of the game en route to an 88-55 final score. Dietz recorded 30 points in the game, the fourth time in her career reaching that total, on 9-for-19 shooting from the field and 11-for-14 from the line. Larson recorded another double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds and
Rachel Weir had a career day as she came off the bench to score a career high 22 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the field while also grabbing seven rebounds.
Dani Williams had a good game as well with 12 rebounds, her career best, in 27 minutes on the floor.
Next week: U-Mary will start the conference portion of the schedule as they host Northern State University and Minnesota State University Moorhead starting on Friday, December 4.
History: U-Mary is 8-10 all-time against the Wolves after dropping both contests in the 2014-15 season. The Marauders are 8-8 all-time against the Dragons after splitting the contests last year.
