Last Week: The Marauders the Hardrockers to begin the week in Rapid City, S.D., and U-Mary got to work quickly on South Dakota Mines. The Hardrockers opened up the game with a 7-0 run, but the Marauders stormed right back and fired off a 14-2 run to retake the lead and wouldn't surrender it for the remainder of the contest. South Dakota Mines was able to narrow the gap down to 17-14 with 2:19 remaining in the first quarter, but the Marauders ensured the lead would remain in their hands as Hannah Larson recorded the final three points of the first frame for a 20-14 lead. U-Mary essentially coasted for the rest of the match as they held South Dakota Mines to eight points in the second quarter and only five in the third to extend their lead out to 59-27 and eventually secured their first win of the year at 74-48. U-Mary maintained the momentum going into the two games against Oglala Lakota and the Marauders opened up the first game on a 28-2 run through the first quarter. U-Mary employed a stifling defense as they held the BraveHearts to less than 13 points in each frame for an eventual 100-37 victory. The Marauders faced the BraveHearts again the following night and didn't change much as they outscored Oglala Lakota 43-15 in the first half en route to a 98-32 win number three on the year. Brittney Dietz paced U-Mary's offense as she averaged 18.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while shooting 24-for-38 from the field. Dani Williams provided a hand as well averaging 10.0 points per game on 11-for-22 shooting to go with an 8-for-14 mark from beyond the arc. Hayley Niles provided the spark off the bench as she averaged 9.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while U-Mary as a team shot .488 as a team, .434 from the perimeter.

Next week: U-Mary will start the conference portion of the schedule as they host Northern State University and Minnesota State University Moorhead starting on Friday, December 4.

History: U-Mary is 8-10 all-time against the Wolves after dropping both contests in the 2014-15 season. The Marauders are 8-8 all-time against the Dragons after splitting the contests last year.
