This Week: The University of Mary Volleyball team will head out on the road for a four-match tour of Minnesota, starting with a visit to Duluth to take on #1 University of Minnesota Duluth on Friday, October 2, before traveling to St. Cloud to take on St. Cloud State University on Saturday, October 3.

The Records: The Marauders (8-6, 1-2 NSIC) had a perfect week starting with a five-set victory over Minot State University on the road and followed that up with a five-set win over University of Minnesota Crookston and topped off with a sweep of Bemidji State University. The Bulldogs (11-2, 4-1 NSIC) started off last week with a sweep of St. Cloud State, but fell in straight sets to #9 Northern State University before bouncing back with a sweep over Minnesota State University Moorhead. The Huskies (5-8, 1-4 NSIC) had a rough week as they were swept by Minnesota Duluth, MSU-Moorhead and Northern State with their lone win coming against Bemidji State in the first week.

History: U-Mary is still looking for their elusive first win against Minnesota Duluth as the Marauders have been unsuccessful in the 10 matches between the teams. The all-time record for the Marauders against St. Cloud State improved to 4-7 after U-Mary defeated the Huskies in four sets last year for their only conference win of the season.

Last Week: The Marauders started off the week with a five-set win over Minot State as U-Mary took the first set 25-21, the Beavers responded in the second set 25-17, U-Mary clinched the third set 25-23, followed by the Beavers taking the fourth set 25-15, and the Marauders won the marathon match in the fifth set 15-12. U-Mary carried the momentum into the match against Minnesota Crookston after taking the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-19, but not before the Golden Eagles responded with wins in sets three and four, 25-23 and 25-12, but the Marauders held on for the win in set five, 15-13. U-Mary kept the pace up as they swept Bemidji State in straight sets after hitting a team best .369 on the year on 25-16, 25-20, and 25-17 in three sets.
