The Marauders were able to keep the match close against the Eagles in the morning thanks to the efforts of
Allison Adams and

Lauren Randall and
Alex Brown did what they could to keep the offense moving as Randall finished with 17 digs while Brown finished with 16. Randall also ended with five kills on 20 attacks, showcasing the Marauders new look.
Â
It would not be enough as the Eagles were led by a well-balanced offense as five players finished with at least five kills. They also ended the match with five aces and seven team blocks before closing out the Marauders for good in the third set.
Â
The Marauders would show their resilience, however, as they prepared for the last match of the day, and the tournament, against NSIC rival Minot State.
Â
The Marauders jumped out to a 2-0 lead before the Beavers battled back to tie the match at 2-2. The Marauders would not be denied their first victory though, as they closed out the final set 15-12.
