The University of Mary women's soccer team opens the 2014 season at home when the Marauders host the MSU Billings Yellowjackets in a non-conference contest. Game time is set for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, at the MDU Resources Community Bowl.

NEW DIGS
The Marauders make their regular season debut at the MDU Resources Community Bowl on Saturday for the first time since the $8 million renovation was complete during the offseason.

WAY UP NORTH
With the completion of the Bowl renovations, the Marauders are moving their team benches back to the north sidelines. For the past two years all fans were seated in the south bleachers. Now that the new spectator center is completed on the north side, which includes suites, the press box, concessions and bathrooms, the team will come back to the north with the fans.

THE RECORDS
This is the opening game of the year for both the Marauders and the Yellowjackets. U-Mary finished 4-10-4 overall last season, including a 4-7-4 record in the Northern Sun to finish 11
th in the standings. It was just the third losing season in 19 years of Marauders women's soccer… MSU Billings finished 6-8-2 overall and 5-8-1 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference during the 2013 season.

HISTORY
In the last meeting between U-Mary and MSU Billings, the Yellowjackets earned a 2-0 home win last season on Sept. 16. MSUB opened the scoring with a penalty kick and added another goal in the 82
nd minute. The homestanding Yellowjackets held a 12-2 edge in shots on frame… The two teams last met in Bismarck on Sept. 10, 2011. The Marauders rallied for a 2-1 win with
Dayna Domingo scoring a golden goal just 1:11 into overtime…. Since U-Mary began NCAA Division II play in 2006, the Marauders are 2-4-1 against the Yellowjackets, including a 2-0-1 record at home.

CITY TOUR
The Marauders will play at three different home fields this season. While the bulk of games are at the Bowl, U-Mary will also play at Shiloh Christian and Reichert Field. The Marauders host Southern Nazarene at Shiloh Christian, a turf field, on Sept. 13. U-Mary then hosts Sioux Falls at Reichert Field, which is a grass surface, on Sept. 27.

TALK ABOUT A HOMESTAND
The Marauders will play their first eight regular season games at home in 2014, including three non-conference matches and the first five Northern Sun contests of the season. U-Mary will not travel for a match until Oct. 3-4 when the Marauders visit Upper Iowa University and Winona State University. The team then immediately returns for two more home games.

NEXT WEEK
U-Mary will play three matches in five days when the squad plays Central Missouri on Sept. 11, Southern Nazarene on Sept. 13 and Minot State on Sept. 15.
