JAMESTOWN, N.D. - The University of Mary grapplers had a tough outing at the University of Jamestown as they dropped both duals, 39-12 to Concordia-Moorhead and 25-18 to Jamestown.

The Marauders opened up with a dual against Concordia-Moorhead, but struggled to gain any ground on the Cobbers.
Alec Lindsey made a statement when he pinned Gus McCarthy and won by fall at 2:22 over the 141-pounder,
Paul Michaelson earned a sudden victory win over Ben Cousins at 157 pounds, and
John DeVito continued his stellar performance when he won a 3-1 decision over Dan Ringquist at 184 pounds.

Unfortunately, four Marauders lost by fall to the Cobbers,
Travis Smith lost a 4-3 decision at 285 pounds and the Marauders lost 39-12.

DeVito carried his momentum into the dual against Jamestown when he won an 8-3 decision over Jonathon Gonzalez and Michaelson helped as well with a 4-0 victory by decision over Jacob Paul.
Hunter Menendez completely dominated Joseph Zapeda at 133 pounds when we won by technical fall 17-2 at 4:18 into the match.
Riley Nagel bounced back from a pin in the dual against Concordia-Moorhead to win an 11-3 major decision over Jevon Schnaubert at 165 pounds and
Travis Smith rebounded from his match against Concordia-Moorhead and won a 3-0 decision over Antonio Lopez at 285 pounds.

The unfortunate part was that the Marauders had to forfeit two weight classes, 125 and 174 pounds, and lost the dual to Jamestown 25-18.

The Marauders continue their season on Sunday, Dec. 7, when they travel to Moorhead, Minn., to compete in the Dragon Open hosted by Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
