This Week: The Marauders (3-17, 0-11 NSIC) will head out of town to take on #2 University of Minnesota Duluth on Friday, Oct. 17, and St. Cloud State University on Saturday, Oct. 18.
The Records: Minnesota Duluth owns an 18-1 overall record with an 11-0 conference record. The Bulldogs are 5-0 at home and defeated Minnesota State Mankato, #3 Concordia-St. Paul and Bemidji State in the previous week. St. Cloud State owns a 7-12 overall record with a 1-10 conference record. The Huskies are 1-5 at home and dropped games against #3 Concordia-St. Paul, Minnesota State Mankato, and Minnesota Crookston in the previous week.
History: The Marauders are 0-9 against Minnesota Duluth with a 0-4 record on the road. The Bulldogs won the only matchup in 2013. U-Mary is 3-7 against St. Cloud State with a 0-4 record on the road. The Huskies won the only contest in 2013.
Last Week: U-Mary was swept in straight sets in the three matches from the previous week to #13 Wayne State, #19 Augustana, and MSU-Moorhead. Lauren Randall carried most of the offense as she led all Marauders with 23 kills, 65 attacks, a .169 attack percentage, four aces, 24 digs and three block assists. Janell Finkbeiner was the primary driver as she finished with 57 assists and 18 digs. Alex Brown anchored the back line with 48 digs and added two aces, one kill and seven assists. Allison Adams was dominant on the net as she earned nine block assists and added to the offense with 12 kills on 42 attacks.
