Box Score Warrensburg, MO – The University of Mary women's soccer team was able to eliminate a first half deficit but had no answer in the second half of a 5-2 loss at 24
th ranked University of Central Missouri. The Marauders scored twice in the opening stanza to enter intermission deadlocked but three goals by the Jennies in the second half proved too much to overcome.

The Jennies tallied twice within 18 seconds early in the match to take a quick 2-0 lead. Hannah Morgan scored at the 7:52 mark and Hannah Pyle tallied at 8:11.Â
Two freshmen midfielders from the United Kingdom collaborated for the Marauders first goal of the season in the 18
th minute. Taking a feed from Meagan Searson,
Zara O'Hagan from Strabane, Northern Ireland, scored her first collegiate to cut the U-Mary deficit to 2-1. O'Hagan is a native of Strabane, Northern Ireland, and Searon hails from Blackburn, England.

Alex Bachman-Williams, one of the top goal scorers in the Northern Sun, pulled the Marauders even at 21:18 of an assist from fellow senior
Dayna Domingo. The goal is the 29
th of Bachman-Williams' career.

The Jennies (1-1-1 overall) took control of the match in the second half, scoring three unanswered goals after intermission. Just 2:43 out of halftime, Becky Lackey scored what proved to be the winning goal on a breakaway. Moran doubled the Jennies lead in the 57th minute with her second goal of the day. Lackey tallied again in the 79th minute to close out the scoring.

The Marauders, now 0-2-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the Northern Sun, next plays at Montana State University-Billings on Sept. 16.
