Bismarck, ND – For the first time this season, the University of Mary wrestling team will battle at home. Following five open meets and one dual, all on the road, the Marauders host 13^th ranked Augustana on Sunday, January 6. The match is set for 2 PM at the McDowell Activity Center.
 
The Marauders, who finished 19^th at the NCAA championships last spring, have had a successful start to the season. Eleven different Marauders placed in at least one of the five open tournaments at which U-Mary has competed.
 
U-Mary is undefeated in dual competition, beating Minot State University 28-16 in a Northern Sun match.
 
All-American Trevor Johnson headlines the Marauders efforts. The junior from Bismarck, ND, ranks third in the nation at 141 and has placed in all five open meets, including titles at the Dragon Open and the Husky Open. Dominating opponents this year, Johnson is 20-4 overall with five pins, six technical falls and four major decisions.
 
Looking to return to the NCAA championships after earning berths as a freshman and sophomore, senior Brady Anderson has placed in two tournaments. After competing at 197 in the open meets, Anderson will wrestle at 184 in the duals. He is currently 6-3.
 
Brock Krumm also placed at two meets. After serving as a reserve most of last year behind graduated All-American Taylor Nagel, the sophomore from Bismarck, ND, takes over at 165 this season. He is off to a 10-6 start.
 
Three more seniors will play a key role in any Marauders successes in conference competition. At 157, Collin Engelhardt (Bismarck, ND) came up just short of making the NCAA tournament last spring. Landon Della Silva (Corvalis, MT) is off to a 6-5 start at 149. From Napoleon, ND, Kriss McCleary anchors the Marauders at 197.
