"Battle for Paddle" Set for Prime Time on Military Appreciation Night, American Bank Center Providing Complimentary Tickets

Box Score Bismarck, ND – The “Battle for the Paddle” moves to prime time when the University of Mary hosts MSU Moorhead at 7 PM on Saturday, October 20. The stakes are raised even higher as the game is televised throughout all North Dakota and into Minnesota on the NBC North Dakota Sports Network.

NOTE GAME TIME CHANGE: The game time was changed to 7 PM after the schedule was first published due to scheduling conflicts at the Community Bowl.

The Marauders-Dragons contest headlines U-Mary's Military Appreciation Week. 200 free tickets to the game were provided to Military Ovation courtesy of American Bank Center. Marauders Megaphones will be sold during the football game with proceeds benefitting Military Ovation.

American Bank Center, this week's game sponsor, is providing complimentary tickets to the football game.

Apple Creek Country Club will host the Marauders Coaches Luncheon for the first time at 12 noon on Friday, October 19. U-Mary Public Affairs and Kevin Becker will host the event and Marauders football coach Myron Schulz is scheduled to speak. Cost of the lunch is $5. Apple Creek Country Club is located east of Bismarck at 8921 County Road 10.

Marauders football tailgating begins Saturday, October 20, at 4 PM in the north parking lot of the Community Bowl, highlighted by the Fresh Place Tailgating Party presented by Central Market and American Bank Center.

Game tickets for U-Mary football games are available at the gate. Adult tickets are $8 while seniors, college students and youth 18 years old and younger are $4. U-Mary students with their M-card and children 5 and under are free.

COMMUNITY BOWL RENOVATION ADJUSTMENTS

The $8 million renovation of the Bismarck Community Bowl is scheduled for completion in 2013 and will create some changes for fans attending U-Mary home football games, including adjustments in seating and parking.

FOOTBALL AT THE COMMUNITY BOWL

Entrances: Fans for Marauders football games can enter through the Northeast, East and Upper Southwest (on Edwards Avenue) ticket booths. No patron admission will be allowed at the lower SW gate.

Seating: In a change from the past several seasons, the south bleachers are the designated home bleachers for 2012. Limited seating will also be available in the north bleachers.

Parking: Parking is available in the North lot for Marauders football games. Fans can also park in the City lot on the south side of Edwards Avenue and east of the Water Reservoir property at the crest of the hill. “EVENT SIGNS” are posted for the parking area. Fans can also park on the street.

Tailgating: Tailgating is permitted in the North parking lot on game days from 11 AM to 2:15 PM in the north parking lot of the Community Bowl, highlighted by the Fresh Place Tailgating Party presented by Central Market and American Bank Center. (NOTE: On October 20 tailgating begins at 4 PM due to the 7 PM game time.)
