Box Score GAME STATS

Bismarck, ND - On a day the University of Mary honored its graduating seniors, it was fitting Tabitha Mabrey set her career high for kills in her final match for the Marauders. The senior outside hitter led U-Mary with eight kills in the season finale against 3rd-ranked Concordia University, St. Paul, but the Golden Bears swept past the Marauders 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-12).

A senior from Coeur D'Alene, ID, Mabrey hit a team-high .467, connecting for eight kills on just 15 attempts. She had just one attack error.

The Marauders recognized both its graduating seniors, Mabrey and Maureen Moriarty, a senior defensive specialist from Cayucos, CA, prior to the match.

Julie Paradine added six kills and three block assists for U-Mary. Lauren Boldt had five kills and Allison Adams chipped in three kills and four block assists. Valerie Lesu tied for game-high honors in digs with 13.

Ashley Murtha, whose older sister Laci played at U-Mary from 2007-2010, led the Golden Bears with 11 kills. Cassie Haag had nine and Megan Carlson added eight. Carlson also had 13 digs.

The first set was hard-fought. The Marauders pulled even at 15-15 when Boldt and Adams stuffed an attack by Murtha. Slowly the Golden Bars would pull away to take the first set 25-19. The Marauders jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the second but the Golden Bears would rattle off 19 of the next 24 points. A 15-3 run early in the third set sealed the contest for Concordia.
