Cross Country / Track & Field Training Facilities

The University of Mary men's and women's cross country and track & field teams train and compete in a variety of locations, both on campus and throughout the Bismarck-Mandan community.

The primary indoor training facility is the University of Mary Fieldhouse and Wellness Center. The University of Mary opened its $10 million fieldhouse and wellness center on January 11, 2017. The 80,000 square foot building is constructed into a two-level multipurpose arena equipped with four basketball courts, a 200-meter competition-size NCAA track and field area, rock climbing wall, tennis, volleyball and racquetball courts, state-of-the-art group fitness room and studios, coaches' offices, team and day locker rooms, meeting rooms and a lounge.

Outdoors the track & field team practices on campus at Hegeholtz Field.

The track & field squad hosts an annual meet at the MDU Resources Community Bowl, which completed an $8 million renovation in 2014. The Marauders hosted the Northern Sun conference championship meet at the 7,000 seat facility in 2012.

Student-athletes also use several other training facilities on campus, including the Scott Weight Room, the athletic training rooms, a campus fitness center and a pool.

The Marauders cross country programs have a variety of trails to train on in the area, including McDowell Dam, Mandan Trails and Kiwanis Park.
