Jamal Lomax, U-Mary’s all-time leading rusher, joined the Marauders coaching staff for the 2014 season. A graduate assistant, Lomax is responsible for the running backs.
 
A three-time All-Northern Sun selection at running back (2008-09-10), Lomax finished his career with a school-record 3,011 yards. He is third all-time in both rushing touchdowns (26) and total touchdowns (30). Lomax also caught 47 passes for 314 yards and four scores.
 
Lomax, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, and graduate of Las Vegas High School, cracked the century mark 14 times in his career, including a school record 248 yards in a 20-14 home win over Northern State on October 17, 2009.
 
After running for 347 yards and one score as a redshirt freshman in 2007, Lomax moved into a starting role as a sophomore the next season, compiling 834 yards on the ground and reaching the end zone nine times to earn All-NSIC honorable mention honors. As a junior in 2009, Lomax ran for 1,142 yards to become the fifth U-Mary rusher to exceed 1,000 yards in a single season. He scored ten times, including four times through the air, and was named to the All-NSIC North Division second team. Lomax capped his career with 688 yards and ten touchdowns rushing in eight games to earn All-NSIC North Division first team honors.
 
A 2011 University of Mary graduate with a degree in Sports and Leisure Management, Lomax returns to Bismarck after working for CG Technology in Las Vegas since earning his degree.
