The University of Mary Marauders

Strong performances by two seniors in victories last Saturday earned Josh Murray and Jessica Curl Marauders Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week ending October 30.

Murray ran for 216 yards on only 16 carries and scored three touchdowns as the Marauders retained the Paddle Trophy with a 52-13 win at MSU Moorhead. The running back from Pepin, WI, he traversed the field on scoring runs of one, 48 and 65 yards, all in the third quarter. His efforts came as U-Mare=y set a school record for total offense. This was the second straight game Murray has hit triple digits on the ground and third time this season. He had now scored 11 touchdowns on the year and has run for 800 yards.

Curl scored the first of two U-Mary goals in a 2-0 win at Northern State to close out the regular season on Saturday. The Bismarck, ND, native scored on a penalty kick in the first half for the game-winning goal. The Marauders defender also helped shut down Northern State's offense, limiting the Wolves to three shots with only one on frame. Curl finished the regular season with three goals and eight assists for 14 points.
