The University of Mary Marauders

This week's NDPF Female Athlete of the Week is Carrie Carmichael. Carmichael led the University of Mary to a program-best seventh place finish at the 2023 Northern Sun Women's Golf Championships. Carmichael finished 18 over par after playing three rounds at the on the Paradise Point – Outlaw par 72 course that covers 5,930 rounds. She shot a 75 to open play on Friday. She followed with a 77 for the middle round before firing an 82 on championship Sunday, finishing the tournament with a combined score of 234. Her 7th place finish is the best UMary finish for a Marauders golfer at the NSIC championships. Carmichael is a freshman from Dickinson, ND and is the younger sister of teammate Kaleigh Carmichael.
