This week's NDPF Female Athlete of the Week is Nicole Eckhardt. Eckhardt was terrific in the circle for Marauders Softball in their past week in Leesburg, FL. Eckhardt started her week with a win 4-1 over New Hampshire on Monday, pitching 4.0 scoreless innings yielding only one walk and one hit. Eckhardt later earned her second win on the week on Thursday in dominating fashion. Eckhardt limited Salem to just three hits and a walk in five innings to earn her second career shutout in an 8-0 win for UMary. Eckhardt ended the Florida trip in continued impressive fashion with her third career shutout in a 4-0 win over Alliance on Friday. Eckhardt extended a string of 13-straight scoreless innings from in the circle, allowing six hits and three walks while stranding 11 runners on base to lift the Marauders to the win. Eckhardt is a junior RHP from Cornelius, OR.
