This week's NDPF Female Athlete of the Week is Ava Grimm. Already a three-time all-conference performer and the reigning champion in the 600 meter run, University of Mary senior Ava Grimm successfully defended her title to headline a strong day for the Marauders at the 2022-23 Northern Sun Women's Indoor Track & Field championships. Entering the finals as the fourth seed following the preliminaries, Grimm won the 600 meter title in comfort with a time of 1:35.86. She outpaced the runner-up by over a second. Grimm later placed 8th in the 4x400 meter relay alongside Morgan Hertz, Grace Acheson, and Sakena Massiah with a time of 4:02.50. Grimm, a senior from Elk River, MN, now has earned all-conference honors in all four of her seasons as a Marauder.
