This week's NDPF Male Athlete of the Week is Brendon Hoyte. Hoyte set two new program records for the UMary Men's Indoor Track & Field team Saturday at the Marauders Tune-Up. Hoyte blazed through the 300-meter dash in a record time of 35.87 seconds. The old mark was 36.12 seconds by Cory Ploof in 2012. Later on in the day, Hoyte was part of the team that holds the new record in the 4x200 meter relay. Hoyte along with Jorgen Paulson, Dawson Hawkinson, and Akil Howell raced the event in a combined time of 1:27.89. The two-decade-old record was 1:30.26 set in 2003 by Kenny Molenda, Justin Wittmayer, Patrick Koski, and Tom Havron. Hoyte is a sophomore sprinter from Barbados.
