This week's NDPF Male Athlete of the Week is Matt Kaylor. Kaylor was one of two Marauders to go 2-0 and helped #14 UMary pull off a big dual win in the final match of the weekend. On Friday, Kaylor dominated his UW-Parkside opponent for a 15-0 tech fall victory, securing the margin with a takedown twelve seconds into the third period. On Saturday, the Marauders were leading #10 Upper Iowa 15-12 with the 197 match being the deciding factor. Kaylor started the match off great, controlling a 3-0 score over #8 ranked Dalton Hahn before Hahn fought back for a 3-2 with time winding down. The two men both attempted takedowns in the final seconds, but Kaylor swung behind him for the two, securing the win and the Marauders fourth dual victory over a ranked opponent this season. Kaylor, a redshirt sophomore from Bismarck, ND, is the Marauders 197 pound wrestler.Â
