This week's NDPF Male Athlete of the Week is Wyatt Lidberg. Lidberg had two dominating victories that highlighted a big conference opening weekend for the #11 ranked UMary Wrestling team. Going back to Thursday's dual against Minnesota State, Lidberg broke a 3-3 team score by putting on a clinic of takedowns and tilts for back points en route to a 17-0 tech fall victory. The Marauders would defeat the Mavericks 23-15 and Lidberg also earned NDPF Dude of the Dual honors. The next night at MSU Moorhead, Lidberg made much quicker work putting away his opponent 2:36 into the first period for a fall victory by an armbar. The Marauders swept the Dragons 41-0, the second straight year UMary defeated MSU Moorhead by this score. Lidberg, a redshirt sophomore from Albertville, MN, is the Marauders 184 pounder with a 17-6 record so far this season.Â
